Isabelle was raised by a blind Haitian mother who loved her more than anyone could ever love a flower—clothing them every day, only for them to burn in the sun. Her mother taught her that imagining is a waste of time because life has more to offer than we can even imagine. With that foundation, Isabelle’s life at 26 is one that seems destined, as if pre-written.
Isabelle’s journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. Growing up in Little Haiti, Miami, she stood out as one of the brightest students at her elementary school, constantly pushing the boundaries of what was expected. At just 14, she was accepted into the top Mega Magnet High School in the U.S., where she endured a grueling 4-hour daily commute, waking up at 4 a.m. every day for four years. By 22, she graduated from Spelman College, the #1 HBCU, with over 3,000 hours of community service and 9 internships under her belt, all while navigating the devastating losses of her mother and sister. At 25, Isabelle earned her degree from ESCP Business School in France, one of the world’s most prestigious business schools with an acceptance rate of only 10%. Despite the profound grief of losing her father during her first week, she graduated with a 3.7 GPA after completing 44 courses in 4 semesters and securing internships at top global banks.
Isabelle’s motto in life is simple: “The problem with Murphy’s Law is that a Haitian mother will cancel it. And her law would say, ‘Met Famn Sou Ou,’” which roughly translates to “Be your own strong woman.
